Treadwell's personal duck hunting notes with over 30 years of entries from 1967 through 1998. Most entries scribbled in blue or black ballpoint pen ink.

James Treadwell (1922-2006) was an outdoorsman, Western US Duck-Calling Champion, and a life long member of Ducks Unlimited. For nearly 70 years, he never missed opening day of duck season.

This small booklet was produced by Frank Smythson of Bond St, London, as part of their "Featherweight" series of portable, travel-friendly notebooks, featuring black fine textured calfskin covers and light blue onion-skin interior pages. The cover is gold foil stamped with "Hunting Notes" and "J. E. Treadwell."
